Deepika Gautam is a contemporary Indian sculptor whose artistic practice explores the relationship between material, memory, nature, and human experience. Working primarily in sculpture and public art, she creates forms that reflect both personal narratives and broader social, environmental, and cultural themes.
A graduate and postgraduate in Sculpture from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, Gautam has established herself through a sustained engagement with stone carving, terracotta, public installations, and contemporary sculptural practices. Her work demonstrates a strong understanding of materiality, form, and spatial dialogue, resulting in sculptures that are both visually compelling and conceptually engaging.
Over the years, she has participated in numerous exhibitions, sculpture symposia, artist residencies, workshops, and public art projects across India. Her artistic journey has been recognized through prestigious awards, fellowships, and scholarships from leading cultural institutions and government organizations.
